Bladder infections, also known as urinary tract infections (UTI) is an encroachment by the bacteria in the urinary tract which includes the urethra, bladder, ureters, and the kidney. This can be very painful and if not contained or eliminated in the early stages it can reach the kidneys thus making it very serious.

The infection can infect anyone, women in particular, and can develop into cystitis which is also very common in women.

Some common symptoms include:

-The need to go all the time

-Burning sensation while urinating

-Signs of blood seen in urine

-Fever and vomiting in conjunction with the above symptoms is a sure sign of a bladder infection, or UTI.

Some of the main causes are:

-Bacteria from the digestive tract holds on to the opening of the urethra

-Sexual intercourse can be a cause, due to the bacteria in the vagina being pushed back to the urethra

-Waiting to long to urinate, causing the bladder to stretch which does not allow the complete load of urine to be released when urinating. The remaining urine can cause a bladder infection.

Baking Soda

1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 8-10 ounces of water can really help a bladder infection. The baking soda helps balance the acidity of the entire tract.

When someone has a bladder infection the importance of urinating is high on the list. Even though it burns one should drink a lot of water thus releasing more urine and helping to cleanse the urinary tract. We recommend drinking a lot of water and eliminating completely all other liquids with the exception of PURE (no sugar or additives) cranberry juice.

In smaller cases try 1/2 teaspoon of tincture every hour. Severe infections need a stronger remedy, but this can be used in the first stages and might even take care of it.

To make a tincture:

Blend equal parts of pipsissewa, bucha, echinacea, and uva ursi tinctures.

We also recommend consuming a soothing tea like marshmallow root to help counter the strong antiseptic effect of the urva ursi.

Berry Juice

We recommend consuming fresh berry juice daily to prevent infections, women especially.

Vitamin C

It is evident that when sick one should take more vitamin C, this is true because the immune system gets a nice boost from the vitamin C. However the vitamin C in the case of a bladder infection is also beneficial in eliminating the infection because of the alkaline qualities of the vitamin.

When the body gets a bladder infection that area is very acidic, with vitamin C and other alkaline fruits the infection cannot survive.

We love reflexology and know that it can help almost every ailment. For bladder infections it is especially beneficial. Make sure the reflexologist works on the bladder and kidney points.

Dress Appropriate

Wear cotton clothing and be sure it is loose fitting and breathable. With tight fitting clothing the infection can grow worse.

Lets talk about bees before talking about the actual remedy.

Bees sting because they feel threatened for themselves, the hive, or the queen. If left alone they will NOT sting, because stinging will kill them. Why? The stinger is torn from the body of the bee, basically disemboweling them.

Bees may be scary to some, but very few people know about the MAJOR benefits that we, as a planet, gain from them. They help pollinate everything they touch and although many insects do the very same job, bees do it at an alarming rate.

To avoid being stung by a bee you can start by trying not to attract them by:

-Wearing bright clothing

-Fragrances, especially sweet smelling smells

-Stay away from sodas and sweet while outside

If your not aggressive around the bee you probably will have no problems at all.  If a bee lands on you or is close by it is best to remain still until it has flown away. For some people this is difficult, so instead of rapidly moving and scaring the bee it is best to gently blow on the bee signally that it is time to move on.

Some alarming symptoms are listed below, please seek immediate medical assistance:

-If you have been stung in or around the mouth or nose swelling may occur thus constricting breathing.

-The stung area swells at an alarming rate

-Your speech is slurred

-You were stung several times

-Difficulty breathing

-Hives show up, especially in areas away from the sting

-Swelling of the tongue

-Blurry vision

*Before treating make sure the stinger is removed (small black dot inside the affected area), a set of tweezers should work

-Cover the sting with a dot of mustard

-A slice of papaya works wonders, lay on sting for about an hour

-Crush fresh basil or parsley, mix with a little bit of olive oil, and place on sting for an hour

-Apply aloe vera

-Apply an ice pack

-Cover the sting with honey and reapply as needed (works wonders)

-Dab some toothpaste on the sting

-Make a thick paste of meat tenderizer and vinegar (or water), then apply to the sting

-Make a thick paste of baking soda and water, then apply to the sting

-Sprinkle baking soda on sting, then soak a paper towel in white distilled vinegar and cover the sting. The chemical reaction should release a lot of the venom and help with the pain. If the pain does not subside repeat as necessary.

Warts refer to the hard growths on the skin, completely harmless but unsightly and annoying. They can spread to the different parts of the body and are common with children and adults. Warts are caused by the human papillomavirus virus (HPV).

Removing warts takes some times, so be patient, it is not a quick fix unless you get them burned off or frozen off at the doctor.

A poultice of flaxseed oil is an amazing remedy. Mix ground flaxseed with flaxseed oil and a little bit of honey. Apply it on the wart and change the poultice every 24 hours.

Crush fresh garlic and place it on the wart while placing a bandage over it, repeat every 24 hours.

Vitamin C

Crush vitamin C tablets and place them on the wart, then bandage, change every 24 hours.

Tea Tree Oil

Apply tea tree oil 2-3 times a day until the wart is completely removed. This remedy takes about a week or two, but even if that time frame has been surpassed keep rubbing the oil on the wart(s). Once the wart(s) are gone keep rubbing the oil on there every other day to keep the wart away, once you have done this for a month or two you can stop applying the oil.

Cider Vinegar

This remedy works, but a lot of people swear that it doesn't because they themselves do not apply the vinegar the correct way.

Submerge the wart in warm water for 20 minutes, pat dry, and apply the vinegar to a cotton ball. Put the cotton ball on the wart and hold for 1-3 minutes. Repeat daily, twice a day works even better.

Potato Slices

Potatoes are a long lost jewel that very few know about. Take a slice of potato and rub it on the wart many times a day for a couple of weeks. The wart should be gone in a week or two.
